Jacob Mathew serves on the leadership team at The Assembly of God Church, Kolkata, India. Over the last twenty years, he has been involved in a wide range of activities that has changed his own life (and hopefully the life of people around him). He doesn’t really love to talk a lot. But his role unfortunately requires him to talk quite a bit. He is often considered creative, because of the creative people he is privileged to serve with.

He had to go to school and college for several years of his life. More than the degrees he received at these institutions, he cherishes the life-changing experiences that have shaped his life and ministry. St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata (with Bachelors in Commerce) taught him the value of waking up very early in the morning. Centre for Global Leadership Development, Bangalore (at SABC with Masters in Divinity) shaped him to treasure the value of healthy relationships in a faith-community. Asbury Theological Seminary, Kentucky (with Doctor in Ministry) formed a holistic journey of healthy habits with deep devotion.

He is married to Neena and have two sons, Josiah and Joash. Literally, that changed his life. And, they continue to change him.

He learns a lot when he goes on long walks(without his Smartphone); sitting in a coffee shop(reading a novel); watching a movie (even the animation movies with his sons); and, logging into social media(more than he would like to!).
